Problems With Xbox Backup Creator 2.4
« on: March 25, 2007, 06:44:00 PM »

okay I made a backup of Sneak King, which in the process I had to select the Use Sector Mapper.... Because we tried to make it using the same settings as an Xbox 360 game and it would fail with errors.. Anyway now I want to continue making backups of Xbox 360 games, but the checkmark for Use Sector Mapper wont go away.. There is no way it will uncheck itself.. I have tried deleting the program completely, upgrading from 2.3, and nothing seems to be helping.... Any info would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

btw does anybody know why XBC burns at 1.1x for me?  Using Pioneer DVR-111D

put a xbox 1 game in and you will have access, note that it is not a problem because it does not activate during x360 extraction  biggrin.gif .

as for burning, are you sure your burner is still in DMA (must not be PIO).

hey thanks for the fast reply, but am unsure how to check the DMA?  I can assure you that the drive is a Pioneer DVR-111D...  It used to burn really fast, but now it just goes at 1.1-1.4x even on MAX Setting

You need to know where you installed you burner (Primary IDE channel or secondary), and the position on the channel (master or slave). If you do not know, there are tools like nero info tool (in configuration tab) that will tell you what is installed where.

Then go in control panel/system/hardware/device manager/IDE controllers
right click on the channel (primary/secondary depending on your burner position)
and select properties/advanced settings
Choose the proper device (0 is master , 1 is slave) and in should say Ultra DMA Mode x.
if not in the transfer mode, select DMA if available.

Hey man thanks for all of the help, but one more question.. While I was trying to figure out how to uncheck the Use Sector Mapper, I was in the options menu checking/unchecking stuff and dont know if they all went back to the way it was built.. Is there anyway you could send me a pic of what check boxes need to ne checked/unchecked... Thanks

btw the default option doesn't change anything when I press it..
