Backup problems
« on: March 17, 2007, 02:36:00 PM »

Well thanks to this tutorial i just burned a lost planet backup. Though i am confused with what i have got now. Everything burned fine, and it verfied okay ( burned using imgburn 2.2 with verbatim +R DL and a Pioneer 111d). Though if i put it in my pc's dvd drive and right click it and go properties i get this,

(IMG:http://img461.imageshack.us/img461/8503/settingswn2.jpg)

Is the normal? Also when i put it in, and play it using windows media player i just get the message put this n a xbox 360 console. At the moment i cannot check if it is working because i am yet to flash my xbox 360.
Just wondering if someone can confirm my burn?

Thanks

yes this is perfectly normal, there is a small video partition on the disk of 3 sec saying to put the disk in a 360.

Thanks for moving it and stuff. Best mod around  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Also thanks for the reply, seeming as i can't test it till next week. May as well backup some more games while i am waiting, seeming as this burn is fine.
Oh yeah, when it is writing around 3 times while writing, on imageburn the write speed will drop to 0 and it will stop writing for around 5seconds. Is this normal? I thought it was because it is doing the layerbreak but that is just a guess.

Maybe a lot of other prog are running on your pc while you burn, which would not be good. Then the memory buffer of your drive will empty and burn will stop until corrected. Drive are suppose to be able to compensate, but it is not good. or it might be something else on your PC causing that.

Don't run anything that might use your cd drive , such as WMP etc

So i am guessing that is not meant to happen. While burning i used a program called enditall and it exited all the unnessesary program like itunes and wmp. So do you reckon i have a bad burn?

not necessarily, I had the tv recording (heavy processing) soft on my pc start while I was burning and the buffer went down to zero, the result was still very good

Best thing is keep it and if ever you have a problem you can redo it form the original, no need to waste a blank if you are not sure you have a problem.
