Backup Problem!

ok im having major problems burning backups. Every one i burned made clicking noises when i put it in my 360 but after cycling the tray a few times they would work,until now. When i put the backed up games in it would start to read it then make the clicking noises and come up open tray or unreadable disk. I tried burning a backup 3 times and none work. I have a hitachi drive and i burn them with imgburn using verbatims on 2.4x.iv also tried 4x. any help would be appreciated.

Which X360 Drive/FW?

Are original playing fine, movies playing fine,
How have you done the backup?
-for ss.bin which software & drive
-for game.iso which software & drive
-how was it merged

Also try a frient test:  find a friend that has a working setup. Bring your original and backup to test them on his X360. Bring one of his known working original and corresponding backup and test it on your x360. It will tell you if the problem is the DVD your are producing or your X360 Drive.
