Xbmc + Online Gaming Tutorial
« Reply #15 on: April 27, 2004, 05:12:00 PM »

Ok, under the games menu I see a handful of games, click on Rainbow Six 3 (seems to be a lot of people playing), and then it says arenas on top and then a ton of names come up (17). It shows the ping and everything.  Then I back out and go to the game (from My Programs), click on System Link, and it can't find any games.  Argh.... I have been trying all day long.

I have a D-Link DI-624 router with my laptop running Kai 0006 (wireless) and my xbox connected through a Linksys Wet11 bridge.  I have tried port forwarding a dozen different ways, but it makes no difference - don't know if its right because the website gives D-Link instructions for another router and my interface is totally different.

Any ideas???????????????????? Argh. Please help....

Ok, up and running, but i never found any game, i'v tried Top Spin, R6 3, Spliter Cell, Project Gotham Racing 2... nothing.

PS: how can i prevent the X from rebooting evrytime i eject? exemple, i'm in XBMC, in Kai configuration, but for starting a game from the DVD i have to eject, when i do it reboots to the dashbord!

Flash your mod with a bios that supports no rest on eject (executer bios's have this feature)

Master-Cheif
Xbox connect will not be supported because their system does not have a API like xlink

This new version of xlink is much more robust than xbox connect. Man, xlink RC2 was better than xbox connect.

Im sure when avalaunch come out with their xlink kai support people will jump on

Ugh, I have soo many friends on XBC!  sad.gif

Can you run games from the hard drive or are you forced to use the DVD? I don't think I'll bother if I have to muck about with discs again now I have been spoiled by the hard drive. Thanks

Yes you can run from the HD, all you have to do is enter the arena of your choice, once you see all the players and ping, just press 'back' and run your game

Your link to create a sign in for Kai doesn't seem to be working, and I can't find where to sign up from the main page??

I signed up for an Xtag but doesn't seem to be the same thing.
