Help...! To Play This Disc, Put It In An Xbox 360 Console
« on: March 04, 2007, 06:07:00 AM »

Hi,

Please help! Got my x360 USB yesterday and proceeded to flash my Hitachi drive this morning with Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth Revision 2 and backed up the drives firmware and installed the flash23s.bat file, all went ok with pass.

Next i used GET SS included to get the SS.bin from the Hitachi drive, then dumped the game via Wxripper using my Pioneer 111L - Had to correct CRC error but dump went ok after, then used build360.bat to build the new ISO using game.iso and SS.bin and it created image.000 and image.dvd

I then burnt the image.000 using the image.dvd through clone cd with no problems, however when I put the backup in my Xbox 360 it came up with "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console".

Play can someone tell either what i'm doing wrong or what has gone wrong?

This is an excellent site and this is my first post, not my last though.

Cheers

that is very good  wink.gif

you can run your image thru the stealth check of   XBCreator to see if all the pieces are there.

also I would try   SSmerger1.7b to merge the game partition and SS.
(note : say no when it asks to check online)

select the following options
IPB Image
and verify that the resulting image is 7,395,392KB.

Hi,

When I checked the ISO with XBC it stated that the video partition was missing. oops!

Have deleted all files now and i'm doing a brand new set, now have SS, DMI, PFI, Video and i'm just dumping the game now. I will merge as advised above, but can I still rebuild the ISO using build360.bat then burn using Clone?

I really appreciate your help, Thx.

Hi,

Just created another coaster, oops..! rolleyes.gif

Can you tell me how everyone else creates a working backup taking into account my hardware setup.

>Hitachi drive with Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth Revision2
>Pioneer 111L
>I have all the software

Just a quick guide, I know how to use all the software - Just unsure of the stages at which to use it all..!

Any help appreciated..!

you can try burning with imgburn ( Tutorial: XBCreator & Imgburn ).

if it does not work, I would do the friend test. You need to know where is the problem, find a friend that has a working setup. Bring your original and backup to test them on his X360. Bring one of his known working original and corresponding backup and test it on your x360. It will tell you if the problem is the DVD your are producing.

Two problems with that, sadly I don't have any friends that have backups or a flashed drive, also XBC is not able to unlock my Hitachi drive to extract the game partition - However I am using the Wxripper method and I just tried it again using SSmerger to inject the SS.bin and also using the settings you gave me, it now tells me the ISO is to big to patch but did I want to do it anyway, also the file size is bigger than the one you listed.

The game is Lost Planet, just to let you know.

So now i'm back to square one, thanks for trying to help it was most appreciated. unsure.gif

That is frustrating, hope someone will bring some info on this. I have seen this many time recently where extracting with wxripper give files with strange size???

Anyone with feedback  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ??

First of all, apologies for the double post I was just trying to cover all the bases - Sorry!

Tried another game at 4.30 this morning, same result - Game was Burnout Revenge Pal Version.

I have put part of the double post below, just to let everyone know my setup.

My setup is:
---> Laptop
---> Hitachi drive version 47DJ - Firmware: Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth Revision 2
---> External Pioneer DVR111D Modified to 111L - Firmware: Buffalo 8.26 External
---> Hitachi connected to laptop via x360USB on xecuter ODD adapter
---> Media: Verbatim DL 8x DVD+R

Thanks

just an idea, no promise,
-extract wxripper
-open the image with ssmerger/tool/ISO Splitter and do extract game partition.(what size?)
-get the ss.bin
-merge the ss.bin and the extracted partition (what size the resulting image?)
-Run XBCr stealth check (as long as ss and game is ok it is sufficient)
-Burn

just exploring,

I am starting to pull my hair out now....!LOL

I have now successfully burnt 15 coasters, lol....Last night I stripped down the Wxripper dumped ISO - I split the ISO with SSmerger and then opened the game partition up in SSmerger to see what SS it had, strange it didn't have the same SS that I extracted from the original game via the Hitachi drive and using GETSS included with OPA firmware...so can anyone explain that?

Explain this if you can, Wxripper dumps a raw image with the SS in it, if its a true dump why can't I just burn the ISO using the .dvd file with clonecd.

And also explain why I have 2 different SS files from the same game and which one is the correct one to use?

Thx
