Well, I finally flashed my hitachi 78fk drive and everything went perfect. I have a question about ritek media. I have backed up a few games and the ritek media works but the drive sounds louder with this media. Is the verbatim media quieter when playing games then a ritek.

My Hitachi is usually pretty noisy when it reads my double layer Verbs but then again I haven't compared them with other manufacturers since I don't trust them.  My recommendation would be to buy a small quantity of Verbatim and check it out.  You might try different burning speeds on the Ritek and see if that happens to make a difference though.
