if you insert it in ss merger, how is it seen?
then if you add the ss with ssmerger, what size is the resultin image.

If you run the final image  thru the stealth check of   XBCreator , what does it say?

well...i merged Ninety-Nine Nights with the ss.bin and the iso is now 7,971,536,896 bytes. When i put the .iso into ss merger it said it was the correct wxripper length. when i run stealth check on the .iso now it says Checking Stealth Compatibility
   Video is valid*
   Unable to determine image type
Is this good? Bad? Am I just screwed?

Worth checking if ss.merger is your issue,
are you sure you are using the latest version 1.7b as per post 8 with the same option (with nme not selected). If that version 1.7b and you have the same options???

Not sure if the the merging function in XBCreator would work.
After wxripper (File 7,572,881,408 bytes), open image tools in XBCr, select 'inject', press Security Sector,
select the game.iso, then the ss.bin

then run the stealth check,

Maybe we're getting somewhere. I tried injecting the ss.bin and it gave me an error saying "Unable to automatically determine image type".

I am using ss merger 1.7b and used all the settings as you suggested.

Where do you think i should go now?

I beleive you are running vista, anyway for you to try on a XP partition?

also after the swap and that you have hit 'start spin', if you press the wx360 does the content od the dvd open?, if not the swap is not working right.

I admire your persistence (sure you are not tempted to get a shd162c  wink.gif )

1) the sh-d162c is a PC drive made by samsung that you can flash with a FW, then you put your game in it, open XBCreator and press start to do your backup, done time to burn.

2) after you do 'spin drive' instead of doing start dump, do
  • hotswap/explore with wx360
  • if you get an error, then the swap was not good. No point in doing the dump.
  • if it open and list a series of files, then it is ok, close the wx360 and do the dump.
