Used .dvd For Imgburn Not .iso

The only way to tell for sure is to try playing it.  As for causing problems, it shouldn't.  I select the .dvd file all of the time when I burn with IMG Burn and all of my backups play perfectly.  Of course, if you aren't using quality media (Verbatim) then you could have a whole list of other problems associaciated with playback. wink.gif

I think you have it all wrong...

When using Clone CD/Imgburn... you ALWAYS want to use the .DVD file as this is what contains the correct Layerbreak information.

where game.iso is the name of your backup image and save the notepad file as "game.dvd"

I finally got my backup to successfully burn on ImgBurn but I used the .dvd file not the .iso. I read in another thread not to use that file when using ImgBurn. Will using the .dvd file cause any problems when playing it. It burnt fine and verified ok.

The older versions of ImgBurn did not handle the .dvd file correctly. As long as you have a new version it works.

I'm using V2.0 and that one has been around for a while.  You are probably correct though that the first revision of the program might not work.  Either way no biggie since it is a quick download and it is freeware. wink.gif

I am having problems burning a copy of Guitar Heros II.  I'm not sure if it's a coincidence of the latest version of imgBurn (2.3) or something else.

However, I have burned many other games and all of them play fine.  The originals play fine as well.

The facts:

I'm using the the Verbatum  media and the Hitachi DVD drive in the 360.
I'm burning the media with the Pioneer DVD drive selecting the .dvd file.

The img burns fine yet the 360 is stating the Disc is unrecognizable?  The odd part is, I was able to play the game once.

Any suggestions?
