And before? The same problem? No ss.bin on disk and all my other problem?

new things happen to me!

I've reinstall XP from my backup to have XBC to works.

My drive was already set to master.

And again... I CAN'T EXTRACT SECURITY SECTOR.

Action: Read Security Sector
Sense Error: 5 / 30 / 02
UNKNOWN ERROR
CDB: READ DVD STRUCTURE
0xAD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 01 C0


Any help will be great.

When you use XBC on windows XP are you using the SPTI or ASPI setting?  Try to switch one to the other and see if that makes any difference.

I'm using SPTI.

I'm trying right now with ASPI, and I have the same error.

There's a link to frogaspi in the XBC documents, might want to install and give that a try.  Hmm, what motherboard chipset is in your PC?

I've changed the wnaspi32.dll (frog renamed)...

Same thing.

My bord is a MSI K8N Neo4
Amd atlhlon 3500+
Chipset Nvidia nForce4

have you given a shot at Schtrom .
sometimes there are drivers issue that affect them differently.

I've jut done a restart.

First test with Schtrom. the SS sector was extract! Great News.

It's now at 32% reading on task whole disk stealth xtreme 3.0.

I think it's the good one now. I cross my finger...

If not you might want to consider keeping an XP partition, not ideal, but does the job.

I'm sleeping in front of my PC.

I will try a burn tomorow! I'll let us know!

And that's what I'm going to do with my VISTA backup. On an other partition. To much problem for now.
