just seen in you post  that all originals do that also!!!.
Could be the SATA connection between MB and Drive was not reconnected after a flash, or your laser is Dead (does it at least spin?).

still strange that they all stop working at the same time. IT cannot be a media issue since they are different.

It might be you drive is having a problem (laser??), I would do a friend test:
Find a friend that has a working setup. Bring your original and  corresponding backup (take the verbatim) to test them on his X360. Bring one of his known working original and corresponding backup and test it on your x360. It will tell you if the problem is  your X360 Drive.

Sometimes I get that error with my backups and I find if I boot the X-Box up with the disk in the drive it tends to load them without a problem. Could be worth a try if you havent already....
