usually the easiest answers are the correct ones.
What type of media are you using for your backups?
also maybe your discs are dirty.......

have used 4 different f/w used the latest opa 2.3, 2.2, 2.1 and birdys. im now using opa 2.1, and they all have the same result fifa 07 wont work! it'l work with original f/w. Shal i just get a samsung? cuz this hitachi is more hassle than its worth.

not a flash expert, but if the original disk works with the original FW, but not with the hacked FW, I would say it is not flashed correctly.

but again, not sure.

Why then does rainbow six vegas and pro evo 6 backups and originals work with no problems!

not sure why they would,
but the fact that the other origianl working on the original fw, do not work on modified FW, would make me suspect FW.
Not 100% sure, but my feel.
YOu may want to check in the hacking forum what could happen in hacking to cause this. they may have better feel of that.,

Have you tried to reburn it? Make sure you are using Verbatim or Memorex DL and burn at 2-2.4x max.
