you can try Imgburn to burn and test your burn ( How to verify a burn ).

could also be the image, how have you done the backup since you have a v78?
    
-for ss.bin which software & drive
-for game.iso which software & drive
-how was it merged

He is also using that crappy E-net media.  @ the original post I strongly suggest you have a look at the first link in my sig.  Scroll down towards the bottom of the first post where I discuss the quality control issues of the E-net labels.

That is based on a liteon 1633, so not exactly latest  model (approx.2004) with DVD+R DL burning at 2.4X (only??).
Not to say it will not work, it should. And since you have a Hitachi, I would definately give it the best media possible (verb).

I prefer IMG Burn as well.  Not a single 360 coaster that wasn't my fault.  That being said soso is correct, the media is far from the best to be using and the Hitachi drives have a tendency to be more fussy in general.

so i should buy verbs yeh?. i have a backup already with the ritek d01 media ID that works in my hitachi drive but my firend did it for me, should i just buy verbs or mayb think about buying the same disks as him only difference would be my burner though?
