Hi all,
In my travels my xbox may have taken a little damage. I've noticed it makes a (very quiet) buzzing noise (probably) from a transformer near the external power socket. At times this noise is sometimes louder, then will stop and go quite again.
Is this dangerous to use the xbox like this? Can it be fixed? My dad suggested maybe one of the metal flaps of the tansformer has come unglued or the screw loosened. But I think it sounds more like an electric buzz than a metal vibration, but could be wrong. I couldn't see anything flapping around.
Should, ie as in a new xbox, the PSU make any buzzing noises from transformers? I can't remember hearing anything, but it is very quiet. I don't want to risk a short or anything. It maybe the power coming in to my current building.
And on that note, does anyone know anywhere in Bangkok where I could get my xbox repaired, or the PSU repaired at least, if I need to in the future?
Much thanks.
