Going Insane. . .5 Coasters
« on: January 14, 2007, 09:15:00 PM »

HI,
I believe you have done a few before so your setup is ok and tested by now??

If other backup are playing fine do not go too quick with the laser!!

Have you tried burning the same image all the time, maybe the extraction had a glitch,

try a different soft for the extraction when that happens (like schtrom 3.1).

I have Memorex discs and a Hitachi. Dont let anyone tell you that they wont work with Hitachis because they do. Maybe not as reliably as Verbs, but they still work. Anyway, backup your game like you usually would, except burn the game with DVD Decrypter. I burned two coasters but once I followed this tutorial, my games were succesful burns.

Tutorial

Please post back and let me know what you got.

P.S. If any other original game reads in your drive, then its not your laser. On my first two coasters, I thought that my laser bad, but you just need to burn the game correctly.

If your original is playing well, I would not jump to quick at the laser.

In imbburn you did set the layerbreak at user specified=1913760
and then call directly the .iso file (not the .dvd file).

when it starts burning it says layerbreak= 1913760

also no RW you need real +R DL (imgburn would not let you burn anyway i believe)

Have you checked to make sure that you correctly flashed your firmware?

In xbcr go in image tool and run the stealth check on the .iso file, it will tell you if some of the key elements are missing. just to double check, because it is probably OK.

You setup the layerbreak at 1913760 (very important) as shown here and  you burn the .iso (or.000)  file (7Gb) at 4X.

If it does not work try a different game, or if you have only one game at least try a different program to extract like schtrom 3.1.
hope it helps,
