Xtreme 5.1/5.2 Single Layer Support... But How?
« on: January 06, 2007, 08:41:00 AM »

The readme information with Xtreme 5.1 and 5.2 say that you can use games from RAW rips or in xbox ISO format... and goes on to mention the new qwix and gdfimage.

So how is this done?

Do I just need to connect my T-S drive to my PC, put an xbox1 game in, and do "create iso" and choose "local folder"?

It can't be that easy!

Several months ago I used the firmware hack on my xbox 1 and did successfully burn & boot a RAW dump of MechWarrior... so I know I can do it successfully.

But I want to burn to single layer discs.

Am I correct in assuming XBox Backup Creator won't work because it wants to do everything DL ?

What's the easiest way to do it?

Thanks!

Sorry for my bad english.

Hardware req:

Xbox360 with Xtreme 5.x
Samsung SH-D162 with Kreon V0.81 or so

Software:

Xbox Backup Creator
wxRipper
XXXISO
NME_aSSociat0r
CloneCD

1. start Xbox Backup Creator go to "read" - "image style" - "Complete Backup", choose "use Sector Mapper (Xbox One)"

2. put Xbox1 DVD into your drive ... wait till the DVD is loaded

3. go to "drive tools" klick "unlock drive"

4. go to "read" and then press "start"

5. save the image where ever you want and accept with ok.

6. wait till its done

7. start wxRipper (wx360.exe) and open the image that you've just created

8. select the right content and extract iut to an folder of your choice

9. start xxxiso, go to "build iso" - at "source" select the folder that you created obove. at "destination folder" select an folder/destination of your choice, klick "make iso"

// OPTIONALLY if it doesn't work without making this:
//
// 10. start NME_aSSociat0r click on "convert" select the last image that you've created and press "convert"
//
// 11. wait till its finished

12. take the last image and burn it with clonecd

13. after clonecd finished burning the dvd - take it out of your drive and put it into your xbox360 drive

works fine for me (tested qith GTA3/GTAVC/KotOR2/NfSU2)

If there is a person with better english skills - please write a better manual.
And i say it again please test it first with point 1-9 & 12-13!!!!
Iv its not working add point 10+12.

And last but not least - please use original xbox1 games. Games that are (perhaps) stored on your xbox1 wont work (4me)

it has to be the SH-D162 drive? I have an MS28 drive, so I guess this won't work then?

Do you still have your xbox if so this is what I do alot easier

To make my xbox backup games playable on 360 what I do is.

1. Place original in 360 and load unleashx

2. using craxtion on pc rip disc to folder

3. dump the layout using the layout tool.

4. via ftp copy it over

5. using that mugoo (someone correct me forgot its name) make the ISO but make sure you pad to full disc and upper buffer.

6. Burn with img burn.

Now every one has worked I just rip the disc dont patch anything I always check with xbefix though just in case.

You're right... "right hand side contents" is the best way to say it...

Ahhmmm i have to go to work now, if i'm not so tired i'll gonna make a (hopefully) better manual with some images, if there is any interest.

And i promise not so much lo-skill english  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Soul Poet,

good description, that is pretty much the best way to do that right now.
Obviously you meant in step 1 to place the original in the xbox (not the x360)
the tool is moogui available here.

also important that everyone realizes, that for now, no method seems to work  for everyone.
So until QWIX  and or craxtion do a tool for this, it might still be a bit hit and miss whether it works or not for you.

If it does not work for you, then you can still use your samsung Drive with xboxcreator to easily do a DL backup (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) .

hi soso, what if i do not have a modded xbox1 console, will Gugo's method be ok for the time being?  anyway, i tried Gugo's method of extraction and made a backup using dvd+r media but not yet playback on my x360 because i yet to update to ver 5.x.  i tried burning to dvd+rw but end result is still a dvd+rw, not dvd-rom.  just for info, i use a sammy d162c with kreon's 0.81 fw to extract Fables and use pioneer 111D with buffalo's 8.29 fw to burn.  will update my console and try to play that disc soon.

btw, this method takes a bit longer time.  cheers!

yes it should,

you can also extract with your sh-d162c
1)and then you can use either XDVDMulleter (from badsheepy program) straight on that iso (real nice app  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )
2)or you can use moogui on it (you may have to extract the file from the iso, not sure)

let us know how it went.

as per c4e txt file

QUOTE
Single layer disks are supported for both Xbox1 and 360 (360 Single layer is supported, but not yet able to be reproduced correctly). For Xbox 1 the disks can be in either the same normal raw dump ...
needs to be unpatched.

360 file ISO is still in development. The exact structure for the 360 disc is being developed and a new Qwix will support the creation of these disks.

and unfortunately no new tools for x360 image yet sad.gif .
so it is no go.

hi soso, just flashed my m25 from v3.3 to v5.2d yesterday.  ripped Fables - Lost Chapters onto a dvd-rw using Gugo's method and it is playable even though it is a dvd-rw instead of dvd-rom.  but it is kind of 'jerky' and slight pauses within game start and game play.  maybe it is the media, i used Imation dvd-rw, ID is something like CMC....

i like to try out the XDVDMulleterBeta1 method of extraction and try again.  keep you posted.....
