i bought yesterday pioneer dvr-111d. but i cannt use any flashing program to update the firmware of 111d.
i even got v8.19 of buffalo release with TDB Flasher with Kernel. but eve this cannt update my flash of 111d
i also read on the support page of pioneer that the 111d-drive needs to be in Master and with no ther device connected on the same ide-cable
CODE
Try moving it to the second IDE port, set the drive to Master (MA) and do not have any other drive at all connected on that IDE cable, that is daisy chained.
but neither that helps me. pioneer-support suggests to do the update in DOS, but how can i fit the flash-file (not the updater) that is 1.7mb on a floppy?
111d is perfeclty recognized in bios as MASTER on SECONDARY IDE (it was first as SLAVE on PRIMARY IDE, but this also didnt work), also this is good recognized by DEVICE MANAGEMENT in windows.
i use win server 2003. could this be the trouble?
the error i get is:
ODD firmware update utility ver2.37a
availble target is not found
plz, help me to flash my 111d. becaus as it is now i cannt set the booktype to ROM
well, now is my 111d-drive flashed with buffalo v8.19 with flasher and kernel, but still i cannt change the bit-setting in the dvdinfopro to dvd-rom.
i get error from dvd info pro... pioneers drive do not support bitsetting
and i also still cant update the fw of 111d to v1.29 with the right bitsetting as i read that in earlier responses in this topic. drive is now connected as SLAVE on SECONDARY IDE
