Wow, good job.

You mention where to install the SH-D162C, It is true that the drive does not get along with all configuration.
Some people where having problem with the SH-D162C as slave on the same channel as the HDisk, some had to put it master... I guess the point is when you install your sh-D162C, If it does not work you may have to change its IDE channel and/or its position (master/slave).

Also a few rare incompatibility for flashing were noted (even on brand new XP install), where people had to bring the drive in another PC to flash it, then reinstall it in initial PC and it woudl backup well.

As far as the burning with XboxCreator, not all drive are supported but pioneer and lite-on seems to go well.

nice way to get the 162c in the states,but dont forget you can get it for 38 shipped from vesalia if you want to save a couple bucks.

Anyhow the Tut is nice but it doesn't alter stuff that has gone on here.
