Hi

I have got xtreme v5.1 on my xbox360. First of all if it says play game on the dash board does that mean that the firmware has been updated correctly?

Also when i select play game from the dashboard it trys to load it the screen goes blank then it says disk unreadable?

I burn games using clonecd with the speed set at 2.4 however while the disk in burning the speed goes from 0.9-2.0 constantly through out could this b the cause of this problem.

The disks i am using are infiniti 360

Do u think it is my cd-writer?

It still plays orginals fine!!

Hi Danny,

you should have posted this in Backup forum (in the hardware section).

Also for your problem the burn speed (0.9 to 2) indicates something is really not happenning right there.
To give youself a baseline you need to eliminate as many potential problems as possible.
First (at least until it works once) I would use verbatim, I would make sure the bit setting is at Dvd-Rom and burn at 2.4X with IMGBURN (free on the web)
just curious what burner do you have ?  and how have you extracted the image?

I am having a similar (i think) problem with my backups.

Burned various backups

Im using....

DVD-burner = Sony DW Q28a With latest KSY4 f/w
360 drive = Samsung ms 25 flashed with Xtreme 5.3 f/w
Program = Imgburn (latest version) running on Vista Ultimate x86
Discs = Infiniti 360 DVD+r DL   &   Traxdata DVD+r DL

Both types of media run at 2.4x and so thats what im burning them at.

The traxdata have not given me any problems as of yet, however the Infiniti are.
 I burned various backups onto the infiniti discs (about 5 i think) every one worked first time, no problems, however after taking the disc out of the 360 drive, then putting it back in immediately im getting "the disc cannot be read - clean with a cloth" error. Not with all of them, just some.

I think the answer is to forget about using the Infiniti discs and go verbatim, I was just wondering if anyone else was having this prob with a similar setup.

My backups were doing the same thing so I burned at 2x instead of 4x and I laid my 360 horizontal instead of vertical and it worked. I used img burn on windows vista with HP DL Disc by the way.
