I tried making my own rips of some original xbox games onto a DVD+R using the new xtreme 5.0 firmware.
Couldn't get it working, kept getting errors. (X: 5014.0 Y: 1884.0)
Does anyone have the single layer DVDs working on the 360?
How did you manage to do so?

Some xbox original backups will give me that exact error, some will work, and some will work then give me dirty disc read errors. Really sounds like a firmware problem to me...

Example:

Working:
Counter-Strike
Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2005 Adventures
Scarface (Havn't played this much yet to test fully, but gets past loading screen.)

Partially Working:
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (loads game up, can press start, then when the movie pops up after a few secs it gives dirty disc read error.)

Not working:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Unrecoginized Disc)
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (X: 5014.0 Y: 1884.0 error)

And the funny thing is all the originals worked on my 360 and they are all on the compatibility list. These were all backed up the same method, burned same method and speed, and all on the same brand and type of media. Has to be a firmware compatibilty issue. Hopefully they keep updating it fixing these errors...

Crash Twinsanity (stutters at times, but works)
GTA San Andreas
MX vs ATV Unleashed
Spyro New Beginning

Not Working:
Mortal Kombat Armageddon
BMX XXX

hi all, just flashed my m25 x360 from v3.3 to v5.2d yesterday. so far, i ripped Fables - the Lost Chapters into a dvd-rw. loaded and playable but it kind of 'jerk' and slight pauses in between game play.

i use this method of ripping :

1) xbc 2.3 to extract from sammy d162c (kreon 0.81)

2) wxripper 1.2 - wx360.exe

3) xxxiso to rebuild another iso

4) imgburn 2.1.0.0 to burn onto dvd-rw using pioneer 111d with buffalo 8.29. (ended up booktype of dvd-rw instead of dvd-rom but playable).

i will try another method of extraction and media to test again becos of those 'jerky' scenes and pauses. cheers!

I have all 5 of my Xbox 1 game backups working. I have a Sammy running 5.2c

I put my original in my SH-D162C, fire up xbc 2.3 for the full backup

I then fire up XDVDMulletter with a layout file to create my sl iso.

Burned to single layer printable Riteks

Halo2
Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike
R63
R63 Black Arrow

hi all, i followed dstmo's way of extraction and creating a backup to Fable - The Lost Chapters onto a dvd+rw. it played ok and without any 'jerky' scenes or pauses. don't forget to get layout file for your games. cheers!
