I have the Cyberhome DX162 burner. According to the burner, it was manufactured on Dec 2004. This burner is pretty old so I'm thinking it's the burner that's the problem and that's why I'm getting all these DL coasters. I've wasted 3 verbatim DVD+R DL discs already.
I used CloneCD(latest version available) and it always stops halfway in between around 52% and then there's an error. I've also tried using XBOX Backup Creator and it results in the same thing. My burn settings are at 2.4 x and it should be set to DVD-ROM as the booktyping according to Nero 7.
I'm thinking of purchasing a new burner..so far..opinion seems to be the Pioneer 111D, however, I would really like to get the Samsung 18x burner SH-S182M

Any advice on what burner to get or what might be causing my burner to burn all those coasters. I also update the firmware on the burner w/ the one on the brother's firmware page.
