They are authentic but they are Ritek which have produced mixed results for people and can be subject to durability issues. So it all depends on if it is worth the gamble to you.

Yup, since they work great for you that means that Ritek work perfectly well for everyone else who tries them.

When you can back your statements up with more proof then maybe we will start listening. In order to give people a clear idea you not only need to find out what works for you but compare it with the findings of others, do error rate scans, ect.

I never said that they were. Excellent scanning drive BTW. I have one of those to go along with my Pioneer 111D. I prefer my 111D for burns but I prefer my 160 for scans and ripping.
