If you keep getting the error, try a different brand of DL disks. Also, check if your DVD vendor/brand has a diagnostic program, and check for firmware updates.

I got the same problem with burner freezing at 51% (directly after switching to layer 2) several times and from different images. Solved it by burning them on another dvd-burner, same media and 100% success all the time now.

You should probably try switch to another burner also, or you will waste alot DL media.

Yes, try switching to another burner.

Im using the cheapest discs known to man, and not recommended here. Some ritek crap.

First time I gave my HP lightscribe burner a try and it froze right at the same moment. Except with clonecd, but same position, 51% at the layerbreak.

I used my NEC burner (the popular cheap one that a lot of people have), no problem. I suggest you try a diff. burner, esp. if your using expensive verb discs. It must hurt everytime you lose one.

If you want to do some test, go buy memorex (ritek) branded dvd+dl. I have tested them both on my ms25 and 2 diff. hitachi 47dj drives. No hiccups at all. Burned at 2.4x with the NEC.
