buy a pc drive

samsung SH612C and flash it with kreon 0.81 fw then it will dump games perfectly, read pfi dmi ss and put it all together for you ready to burn

easy!!

Which firmware did you flash with?  The 1.5 (1.6) version plays backups but can't create them.  You need the new 2.3 version.

so here's the update
wxRipper method is also out because I can't take apart a drive that isn't mine, and my only other dvd drive has to have the top on to read a disc. (The grey thing that keeps the disc from spinning out of control is connected to the top of the dvd drive). So yea I'm really annoyed at this. I have a hitachi so i can't partion my drive, Xbox backup creator doesn't work and WxRipper method doesn't work. This sucks.

Then you wont be making any backups then.

You could see if the emergency eject trick works for the hot swap instead of taking the drive apart.  Some people have said this works.
