Sata Pci Controller Won't Show In Mtkflash

Just bought a PCI SATA Controller with the VIA6421A chipset, but I can't get mtkflash to recongize it.  I used Xtreme Boot Maker to set everything up.  I have a MS25 Samsung Drive.  I boot to dos using the NTFS4DOS CD, switch to the c:/XBF/ folder, but when I run SAMREAD, my SATA drive doesn't show.  Anybody offer some tips?
