You shouldn't need to do a firmware flash.  Burn first and THEN if it doesn't work, do the firmware flash.

You do not have to Verify, you can verify by checking it in your XBOX tongue.gif .  Let us know how it works out for you.

You can burn faster than 2.4x but only on Verbatim D/L.  I wouldn't attempt it with any other media as the quality standards on the other manufacturers are horrible at higher speeds.

I would definitely stick to 2.4x unless you can afford a coaster or two.

I'm having trouble getting xbox backup creator to let me click on 'Start' in the 'read' tab.  The start button is grey and will not let me click on  it.  Any suggestions?
