hey all, ok so when backing up 360 games with the Samsung SH-S182D, do i need to reflash that dvd burner?
or is it just plug and play and backup 360 games?

before anybody asks did i search for it, i have!
only curious about this drive because it is in the comp store i usually go to, and im more of the go to store person instead of order online

I think you need the Samsung SH-D162C which is a DVD-ROM, not the sh-s182d burner.

and yes, you have to flash the SH-D162C with Kreon's Firmware v0.81 to backup 360 games, also you will need a program called Xbox Backup Creator version 2.3!

ya but i know the sh s182d i beleive also read the 360 games, i read the post, it mentioned this specific drive as well

XBC and Schtrom do not have a "d" version listed. Looks like you're gonna need a "c".

Please post a Link, to that Post if you can Find it? I would be very interested in reading it.

Currently todate, Other than your 360 Drive I Believe the SH-D162C (PATA) or the SH-D163D (SATA) are the only drives that kreon's FW will work on. Latest v0.81 supports the (SATA) version.

This GUIDE here should provide you all the necessary info.

so I need that reader and I can my maddog burner(it burns DL fine..tested) to burn the images I rip using backup creator software ??
