Wxripper Crc 89088/180736 Errors
« on: November 12, 2006, 05:53:00 PM »

Just bought Fifa 07 and i am trying to make a back up. I have a 47dj, WXRipper is the program i am using. I changed my layout file to :

Copy 0 19408
Dummy 19408 1072
Copy 20480 89088
Dummy 109568 20256
Copy 129824 1783936
Jump 19113760 346304
Copy 2260064 1783936
Jump 4044000 0

I used the layout above due to a crc error @ 89088 (could have been 89089).
I got the CRC error 89088 using this layout file below:

C19408
D1072
C91135
D18209
C1783936
J320576
C1783936
J0

So now i put my Fifa07 Xbox 360 game into the drive and at the second to last line i get an error in Wxripper while using the first layout file above:

Error @ 1780736 : Data Error (CRC).

It happens at LBA 2260064. Then it finishes and says complete.

Has anyone else had this error? And if so how can i fix it?

P.S. I have not burned the image to a disc yet due to the fact that the discs can be pricy to make a coaster.

Cheers to those that read this.

Save The Layout file open that same file with notepad and edit the section that has the error to be a dummy sector
Please let me know if this works

looks like you're using the hotswap method like i do.

this is the layout file that i use for all of my backups

C19408
D1072
C89087
D20257
C1783936
J309536
C1783936
J0

1. put in your dvd movie (7.5+ gig in size)
2. turn on your PC
3. open wxripper get the magic number
4. stop the drive
5. swap out with your game
6. load the layout file
7. spin the drive
8. dumb the image
9. merge the image file with your ss.bin file

off you go.

Burning disc as i type this.
What i did was change the layout file from this:

C19408
D1072
C91135
D18209
C1783936
J320576
C1783936
J0

To this:

C19408
D1072
C91135
D18209
C1783936
J320576
C1780736
D3200
J0

The second and third to last line i took the error 1780736and subtracted that number from the original 1783936 = 3200.

Any opinions?

Cheers!

make sure that your original disk is not smudge or dirty.

hope it works, i could never make any of my backups to work using other than the layout file that i showed you.

So my plan didnt work.  I burned the disc and got a dirty disc error.  Unreadable.  So i went ahead and tried :

C19408
D1072
C89087
D20257
C1783936
J309536
C1783936
J0

It worked perfect.

What i figured out was that it wasnt copying the last 3200.  When i dummied the 3200 it made the disc unreadable but using the above layout file it worked perfect due to the 3rd and 4th line and the jump 309536.  I wonder if it had something to do with the space on the disc.

Thanks for all those that gave a bit.

Cheers

So i  used xbox 360 Wxripper to check the backup isos.  4 discs that i have backed up of the FIFA 07 were all backed up using different layout files.  All 4 had no crc errors but will not work in the console.  I either get a dirty disc or a please put into an xbox 360 console.  2 of those iso files show errors in the boot sector when looking through them using the WXRipper Xbox 360.  The other two are perfect, so its says.  I am using Gary Opa 2.2.  Does anybody know if i upgrade to the 2.3 version it could change my problem?  Any ideas, at all, would be great!

So i went out and bought F.E.A.R a couple days ago.  I backed it up using the hotswap method and used the following layout file:

C19408
D1072
C89087
D20257
C1783936
J309536
C1783936
J0

No CRC errors.  Burnt disc at 2.4X and again no issues.  Put the disc in my 360 and got unable to read disc.  Clean disc screen.  WTF!  my first three backups were perfect now i cant get one to work.  Any ideas?   I am still using the 2.2 maximus for my 47DJ. If i upgrade to the  2.3  could that fix my prob?

My past three backups work fine.  I can sill play them.

I made over 10 coasters trying to backup Oblivion and then when I transfered the ISO to another computer and burned it there it worked!  I have made backups on my other comp before bu I guess it did not like this game.
