I don't see what the big deal is with the pioneer burner. Yes it burns 360 games well, but So does my Sony 800A. Burns them perfectly and I don't see people ranting and raving about it. Just get over the 111D pioneer burner, Sony 800A works just as well.
Really?

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...=Pioneer%20111DIt should also be noted that the Sony 800A is nothing more than an overpriced Benq drive. Is the Pioneer 111D infalible? Absolutely not. Has it solved problems for a number of people when nothing else has worked? Absolutely. The bottom line is that by nature the late model Pioneer and Lite-On drives get along the best with all of the various 360 DVD-ROM drives. Lite-Ons can be more picky with the variety of formats that they can burn though (and before any of you folks say anything, I DO OWN A 160P6S Lite-On). Discs burned on other drives can get along with the various Hitachi models provided you flash the Hitachi with the latest mediacheck firmware but that still doesn't mean that it will always fix the problem. The other reason why it is so highly recommended is because you can pick it up for dirt cheap in most countries. Here in the US you can find it for $35 shipped or less on a regular basis. Here is the latest spec Sony (Benq or possibly Lite-On) for over $50USD shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827131016. Oh yeah and the Pioneer 111D autosets the booktype to DVD-ROM for you on D/L DVD+R discs, so no screwing around with settings in your burn program trying to change the booktype. So it is just common sense that people keep recommending the Pioneer. Not only does it produce burns that are compatible with all sorts of 360 drives, it also has features that make it hassle free AND it is one of the cheaper burners on the market. Now you know why you don't see people ranting and raving over the Sony burners. (IMG:
