In OSX this is the only way unless you can get windows to do it in a virtual machine.

I`m having problems with some Newly created IMAGE.000 files which have come from CloneCD on the PC.

Game.iso appear to be fine, I`m sure that older IMAGE.000 were OK but recently my terminal log has reported Layer Break at 1848848 Blocks and if you double click IMAGE.000 it won`t mount on the Desktop, rename it as an .img or .iso and its an unrecognised disk format.

Could a new version of CloneCD be causing us mac users problems ?

So trying to burn on osx macbook have the superdrive with dual layer burning yet I get this error.

karate:~/Desktop/dvd karate$ /opt/local/var/db/dports/software/cdrtools/2.01_2/opt/local/bin/growisofs -use-the-force-luke=dao -use-the-force-luke=break:1913760 -dvd-compat -speed=2 -Z /dev/rdisk1=game.iso
:-( /dev/rdisk1: media is not recognized as recordable DVD: 10010

Actually have the Untitled DVD showing up in finder which is strange. I have using verbatim dvd+r DL any ideas?

Verbatim is probally the best media available, try opening Toast and get info on the blank DVD you put in.

Did the Finder tell you it was blank media when you loaded it ?

Never had that particular problem  (YET)

What make is the DVD burner ?

Toast disc info

IPB Image

Disk Utility info

IPB Image

Only thing I can think of is the disc is messed up from when I was messing with it in windows though it seems to be blank. Going to try a different disc when I get home from work.

To check for the correct name for your DVD burner.

Take out any CD/DVD in your burner

Open the terminal enter   ls /dev/rdisk?           press RETURN

Put a CD/DVD in your burner

Open the terminal enter   ls /dev/rdisk?           press RETURN

The new rdisk name is the one you need to use.

I'm sure I am using the correct rdisk. Its a strange problem indeed.

christopher-poseys-computer:~ karate$ ls /dev/rdisk?
/dev/rdisk0
christopher-poseys-computer:~ karate$ cd /Users/karate/Desktop/dvd/
christopher-poseys-computer:~/Desktop/dvd karate$ ls /dev/rdisk?
/dev/rdisk0     /dev/rdisk2
christopher-poseys-computer:~/Desktop/dvd karate$ /opt/local/var/db/dports/software/cdrtools/2.01_2/opt/local/bin/growisofs -use-the-force-luke=dao -use-the-force-luke=break:1913760 -dvd-compat -speed=2 -Z /dev/rdisk2=game.iso

Do you just have one HD with one partion ?

Put a DVD in your DVD Burner

Open the terminal and do the ls /dev/rdisk?  command again, you don`t need to change directories, is it on the same ATA cable as your main HD, if it is it must be rdisk1 ?
