Toast. No, I posted a question on their forum and opened a ticket requesting about the layerbreak feature (is it included yes or no..).

No response yet.

But hey, I'm perfectly happy with the combination growisofs OS X installer + iBurn360.

Stay tuned for a bundled install, so you don't have to do any "complicated" stuff anymore (not even change preferences smile.gif).

Hey idog good work!

Does this work on PPC macs?

I might try and do a logo soon if I get a spare bit of time.

It seems it does. Used the growisofs installer of appleguru on my mac mini ppc and then configured iburn (growisofs and the jar file both reside in /usr/bin) and it started up alright, showed my superdrive as well.
Of course.. it's not a duallayer drive, so I would have to hook up my external burner. I'll test it tonight, would be cool if it worked (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't ;-)

I just wanted to know how most of your 360's are modded.. Via firmware or something else.....  As for me, I should be getting my 360 back with the NME 1.1 either tomorrow or Monday...

i try to install growisofs and the install works just fine!
but when i try to find the path, it doesent exist!
What am i doing wrong?

i used spotlight to try to find something but no luck

I myself have this problem...  I ran the growisofs 1.1 package and it installed successfully according the installer... But when I ran iBurn360, it didn't find the paths...

And I also tried searching through spotlight and it can't find it....

I'm on a iMac CD2 using the internal Matshita drive...

On another note, I successfully burned a .iso (7.05 gigs) using the Terminal method on a Verbatim dvd... But, can't test it yet...

Oh.. another thing... The guy that modded my 360 mentioned that I have to patch the image or iso or whatever with Step 2...  Will iBurn360 automatically do this?  Thanks for any info!!

Is it possible to burn xbox 1 backups (for xbox 360) with growisofs and can it be done with toast or similar?

I helped kesperse out on msn for this issue.
The installer from appleguru puts the growisofs and the jar file both in /usr/bin.

The paths to use in iBurn360 preferences are :

growisofs path : /usr/bin/growisofs
imgbpatch path : /usr/bin/imgbpatch.jar

spotlight doesn't look in /usr/bin, that's why a search won't find these files.

as for the nme patch, I'll have to look into this, but it's beyond the scope of iBurn360 in this phase of development..

I just wanted to thank you guys for all of this hard work on the Mac side!  And I just have a couple quick "newbie" questions.  I modded my own xbox1 a few years ago- but am totally new to the 360 scene.

1) Do you need a "modded" 360 to run your backed up iso's?  And if so- what chip do you recommend?
2) Could you point me to a good "mac-centric" discussion on how to create 360 iso's on a PPC?

Thanks again!

Dumb question... if I don't have an ISO file but I have image.000, image.001 and image.dvd, I just drop image.000 into the box (that's what I got from reading the PDF)?

etc. because just burn the first .000 want help its only 1 gb .....it has to be merged togehther or something into one
image.000.

Ok i thing i figured it out download the prog split&concat from version macup or whatever for sn: pm me

choose preferenes
there make an  cross where outpout folder stands and where stands .000 for concat (merge).
No more than select all ur files which has to get together and throw it into ur icon in the dock(.000 - .007 not the .dvd file ).
wait some minutes(press apple +i on the file to see when its finished, prog tells u after seconds done but progress still goes on) and u get and image file which is 7.05 gb try with imgpatch if its data or not ....
i think thats all
now going to buy dvd to try it out if it works let u guys know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's about time someone picked this up and did something with it. smile.gif Now if we can just get something figured out to image the discs we could have a fully working OSX backup app. I messed with dd awhile back but didn't really get anywhere.

Oh, and appleguru, I was reading through the tutorial... Are you sure this will only work on Intel? I was under the assumption that it should be CPU independent. Does the code not compile on PPC?

I tried to set the compiler flags and cross-compile for ppc to make universal binaries, but I couldn't get it to compile. If anyone else has some luck making universal binaries let me know and we can make it universal (I'm guessing some architecture flags need to be added to a header file somewhere.. but I haven't looked into it too much yet).

I've got it !!

For PPC, it's too easy. Just go into the dvd+rw tools dir, delete the .o files.
Type : make <enter>

It builds and works smile.gif

Universal binary version of iBurn360 will have this incorporated. So ppc works !
