Burning Backups
« on: October 30, 2006, 02:16:00 PM »

I flashed my hitachi lg drive with Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth

and it was done sucessfully.

i followed the directions i have to extract ss.bin, and to use isobuster to make the image file.

only problem is the image file is 7 gig's.

when i try to burn it with clone cd, it says that the image is too large for my 4.7 gig dvd.

am i supposed to try to overburn it?  or just write till end of media is reached?

or am i doing something way way way wrong.

i do have a dual layer cd burner, but maybe my media isn't dual layer, it is a dvd +r.

and i used make360.bat to merge the files and get my image.dvd file

thanks for the info, i'll do some more investigation

you need dual layer media it is that simple.  the hard part is that it costs way more than dvd+r that is for sure.
if you have a hitachi I would reccommend verbatim media.

thanks for the link, i'll try that next.

i just now found the newest firmware release for the hitachi lg drive, and as soon as it's done downloading i'm going to flash the drive again, and attempt it one more time before trying your suggestion.

thanks again!
