Pioneer 111d Problem!
« on: October 25, 2006, 12:15:00 PM »

ok i originally had a NEC 3500A drive and it was working fine using Imgburn and CloneCD, but unfortunately the disks wouldnt work in my drive.

so i went and got a Pioneer drive today, when i try to burn the same image (that worked fine on the NEC) it just seems to stop after random %, 2% 17% and 59%.

so thats 3 coasters so far.

does anyone have any advice? im using Verb 2.4x disks.

could it be a dodgy drive?

set it as primary master and you should eliminate some problems.

i did the flash last night the tdb firmware, i even reinstalled windows...

still seems to crash out while burning, seems to be burning fine then the write speed just drops to 0x and i cant even abort the write.

grrr

could it be something wrong with my ide cables or something?

I managed to burn a CDR fine.

ok i discovered that swapping the cable means that they will now burn properly but i seem to be getting
unreadable disk errors...

im using Pioneer 111D, Verb disks on a flashed Hitachi drive....

grr this is hardwork...and expensive...

i did my last burn using imgburn, just trying one on clone now see if that helps.

could i be doing anything else wrong?

ive got other verb disks that work fine (someone else made them for me)

I've been having the same problem. Try using xbox backup creator v2.3 to burn and reboot before you do. This seems to help me cos i can't use clone or imgburn. I've managed to make 5 successful backups so far

When i set my friends up for him i put the 111D on primary master and his other drive on secondary or cable select.

if you're still having problems, try disabling dma and using pio, and don't do anything while burning
