You need to be a little more specific.  Which DVD-ROM drive in your 360 (and which firmware revision)?  Which media?  Which DVD Burner and firmware revision?  Some configurations are more picky than others.

I have a Pioneer DVR 111D Firmware 1.23. I used DVDinfoPro to set the booktype field  and I get an error message saying the Pioneer drive does not support bitsetting.

Do I need to change the firmware on my drive?

Thanks

Nope your firmware on the DVR 111D is perfect the way it is.  The booktype of that drive is already set properly and ready to go.  (I use the same burner and firmware btw)

Cheers.

nice thing about the pioneer is it automatically sets the booktype so you dont have to worry about changing anything.
the samsung d162c is just for reading games directly using the pc.  this eliminates having to hook up your 360 everytime you want to make a backup.  this drive is not needed to make backups, just makes it easier.
