Backups Not Working Right
« on: October 10, 2006, 03:36:00 PM »

ok so i have backed up a few games with wxripper and i cant get any of them to work. i put the animatrix (7.91GB) in and find hte numbers, then stop the drive and switch the discs then start the drive and choose rip and save it as whatever game it is .iso

once its done with no crc errors i have tried a couple of different things. i have opened up isosplitter and extracted the game partition then ss merger and merged the ss with the new iso from iso splitter. i have also jus opened ss merger and merged hte ss with the iso from wxripper, not going through the iso splitter step.

i had two games give me a DDE and two others load up and jus freeze ingame at random times, the other loads the menu but i havent tried playing a mission yet.

am i doing something wrong, cause i have wasted 9 DL discs and their too expensive to keep wasting.

im not sure what firmware your talking about so, my xbox has garyopa 2.1 7-in-1, havent had time to update to 2.2 yet. will that help. and my pioneer 111d has 1.23 on it.

the only way i know to rip besides wxripper is to hook my hitachi to the computer and use isobuster. i tried that and it was taking forever. like after 20-25 minutes it was only at 1%. does it always take that long?

how is the drive connected to your pc?  I had my sammy connected to sata port 2 because my pc hdd was on port 1.  This made things really slow.  I swiched the sammy to port 1 and the hdd to port 2 and now it is ripping a lot faster.  Could just be the way you have the drive hooked up.
