ok, I have xbmc of 2003 which works ok with tone of bugssssssssss!
I rendomly tried a 2004 version, and it just freeze when I start it! so now I'm back with the old 2003 xbmc.

My question is : Which version works? Do I delete the old version before copying the new one or copy ontop of the old version?

Oh, the weatherbug, can't just add it to the xbmc folder. what do I need to do to detect it?

The march release seems the most stable for me and I currently have no reason to upgrade it.

For me the 03-09-2004 is not good because the streaming is broken.

Always the latest cvs untill there is a poinrelease.

And since xbmc is still beta the latest cvs IS the best to use, BUT there can and will be problems with cvs releases that you may not like.

Right now the latest out is 03-09 so unless you can compile it yourself etc use that one...

Interesting. I thought the latest was 03-09-2004 also, but I've come across some scatterings of versions like 04-13-2004 and now 04-16-2004. I haven't been able to see/get these versions from offcial places though. There's a Credits button in the 04-13-2004 version and that gaming bit, etc. Getting 04-16-2004 right now.

Might go back to 03-09-2004 now aye, after reading this thread. These latest unofficial compiles look fairly buggy and don't look like they add a lot.

saw them at ** DO NOT ATTEMPT TO POST LINK TO THAT WAREZ TORRENT SITE **, anyway I use 3-9-04 and its friggin awesome. Some music doesnt play perfectly but other than that I havent had one problem. These guys that make this happen rock!

if you try a new CVS build try removing the xbmc save on the e drive the path is

/E:/TDATA/0face008/

just deleted the whole 0face008 folder xbmc will make it again anyway

the file in there contain GUI config settings from older version of the xbmc & becasue things change in the newer version they dont match and xbmc screws up xbmc will make it again aswell and you just have to setup up all your GUI setting (this donesnt have anything to do with the XML files in the XBMC root) just the setting you change in the xbmc GUI

also make sure you delete the whole xbmc folder and then remake it with the lastest cvs build
