are we talking about D/L DVD+R or D/L DVD-R? D/L DVD-R doesn't work to my knowlege.

what i read on xboxhacker forum,
is that the on the dvd-r dl it is not possible to set a custom layer break
also you can't set the -rom booktype
that's why it wont work for 360 backups ,

-R DL must be recorded equally on both sides - thus killing the ability to set a layer-break.

Even with LJR (Layer Jump Recording) on -R DL discs - the standard isn't accurate enuf to get away with a working backup.

Unless 3.3 firmware does most of the work for you (booktype bypass, media type, blah blah)...

Either way -R DL - if you have it working - write a tutorial...

That and I don't know where he lives but it is much easier to get better deals on D/L DVD-R in most countries. @hammy are you talking about -R single layer or -R D/L? Big difference.
