So far nothing but coasters, anyone know if that particular drive is the the problem? If it is I'm thinking of getting a Pioneer 112D. Thanks

Well, time went by so I just went ahead and ordered the Pioneer 112D. Just installed it, pulled up ImgBurn, started the backup, and got this error message:

at first i didnt know about the quality of the discs everything else vs. verbatim  so i bought a 25 pack of memorex dvd+r dl. that was a big mistake  

 they burned at a slow 2.4x max and worked at first but after a few boot attempts all 3 discs started to be hit and miss with putting a game in resulting in either it playing with no problem or refusing to start with a dirty disk error.

I picked up a spindle of verbatim's and so far so good, no problems

Does anyone know if these Samsung drives that both support DVD+R DL, can be flashed with Kreon or some other firmware so PC-DVD to XBC backup can happen??  And if so what firmware or method can be use to achieve PC to XBC with these drives??
