Must say, Fantastic stuff. Thanks alot. This is not a complaint ,but Something I have run accross. God knows you cant make everyone happy
I have the Samsung SH-D162C. I had read earlier on that all you had to do was ignore error for the SS sectors. The first time I put the game into the drive it gave the error, but kept on working. Ever since then I have tried many times. By hitting the all at once method ,and by extracting just the ss.sectors. I have done this 15 plus times ,and only one of those times was I able to get a SS.bin . I compared it to the 1st SS.bin I got from the DVD with a hex program. It was almost the same with only 1 byte being different. I also remembered reading somewhere that it was perfectly OK not to be EXACTLY the same because of timing differences.
I have also gone back to extract other stuff from the DVD with no problems at all. Just the security sectors are being a pain.
I also tried another game 2 times with similar results.
Should I expect this kind of hit or miss with all of them or is there something I can do to help out the situation.
I have the same drive and while the SS are not always the same, I've yet to have a dvd that didn't work on my box. I've backed up 4 of my games so far with no issues.
