Hey everybody,

so i still have images on my hd that were made in the pre-stealth era, but work perfectly on the 360.

When i try to extract from those images the pfi, dmi sectors Schtrom gives me an error message saying:

"No valid pfi/dmi.bin in iso !"

Any way to still get the pfi/dmi for those images or do i have to create a whole new image ?

Thanx in advance

There are no pfi and dmi sectors in an non stealth image! If you want the original pfi and dmi data you must insert your original disc and extract them, after that you can inject them in the image with the Schtrom utility. You can also try to use the pfi sector present on the net, cause atm the pfi seems to be equal for every 360 disc. But dmi must be extracted from original!

maybe a way to make wrxripper style images. I know that shd162c doesnot like the unlock command for some reason will only work with xtreme command but have it in there for when the firmware is updated.

Hi Guys

I've tried making a backup of my Fifa World cup Germany 2006 and it did not work for me.

Here's what I did:

Extracted SS.sin by hooking up the hitachi drive to computer.
Placed Game into Samsung flash DVD drive and start up Schtrom360Xtract v2.1 choose the xtreme 3.0 whole disc option and clicked extract.

Next step once finshed I loaded up SS merger 1.6 choose my iso and it switched itself to WX ripper style.

Once that was detected I located the SS.bin file and clicked Merge.

burnt with Clone CD as I usaul and booted up on xbox and said please insert a xbox 360 game.

I don't need to unlock the samsung 0.6version flash drive do I

What I'm doing wrong guys?

Finally test this sucker out and it worked great.  used 3.0 firmware in 0800 mode and it ripped 2 games that burned and played no problem.  I also upgraded to version 3.3 firmware.  everything works great.  thanks

Must say, Fantastic stuff. Thanks alot. This is not a complaint ,but Something I have run accross. God knows you cant make everyone happy biggrin.gif

I have the Samsung SH-D162C. I had read earlier on that all you had to do was ignore error for the SS sectors. The first time I put the game into the drive it gave the error, but kept on working. Ever since then I have tried many times. By hitting the all at once method ,and by extracting just the ss.sectors. I have done this 15 plus times ,and only one of those times was I able to get a SS.bin . I compared it to the 1st SS.bin I got from the DVD with a hex program. It was almost the same with only 1 byte being different. I also remembered reading somewhere that it was perfectly OK not to be EXACTLY the same because of timing differences.
I have also gone back to extract other stuff from the DVD with no problems at all. Just the security sectors are being a pain.
I also tried another game 2 times with similar results.
Should I expect this kind of hit or miss with all of them or is there something I can do to help out the situation.

I have the same drive and while the SS are not always the same, I've yet to have a dvd that didn't work on my box.  I've backed up 4 of my games so far with no issues.

I have ripped ridge racer 6, project gotham racing  and tiger woods 06  with the SH-D162C, stealth streme3.0  hit extract and get the it notified me to inject SS later. after the rip is done i just burn with clonecd no patching needed.

After i have done the backup and its working i tryed to make a backup off the backup disk and i get a error cant exteact ss.bin at 3%  and thats all it will do it will not read no more.

is there away i can backup the backup with out having to patch them.
