Anyone Burn Successful Backups With Samsung Drive`

i have an external samsung drive with an updated fw, i can set the booktype, well i can go to it with the dvd program thing and its already set at what ur supposed to set it too, so im wondering if i will work on my hitachi drive.....any help would be appreciated, thanks.

the way i see it.. everyone would be better off just spending the 30 measly bucks on a pioneer 111d, then they know it will work, and dont waste 20 bucks in disks trying to figure it out.

check compatability threads, or give it a shot yourself... im guessing its not going to work tho, just an opinion, since its external.

In theory it should work but as illusions pointed out, some burners simply have issues with properly burning readable XBOX 360 backups.  The Pioneer 111D does seem to indeed be one of the few burners that gets along well with the variety of 360 DVD-ROM drives.  Of course using Verbatim D/L DVD+R is also crucial to ensure the best possible success with your backups.
