Subtitles
« on: April 14, 2004, 10:42:00 AM »

This is probably a dumb question, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.  How do I turn subtitles on and off while watching a movie? I've got a few OGM files that have subtitles included in them, and I want to turn them off, because I don't need them.  In XBMP it was quite easy, but I can't figure it out with XBMC.  Please help!  <

Press Black button.   Select Subtitles, and make sure they're 'on'.  <

You can enable/disable subtitles and switch languages from the OSD (Y on a pad or Menu on a remote).  <

When I press Y nothing comes up.  Is this a problem with my build? Do I need to download a different release?  <

I don't know as you didn't say which build you have.  <

I'll look into it.  I tried 3/9 and it didn't have a subtitle menu..I'll look for 4/14

EDIT: I put the 4/13 build on, but I can't bring up the OSD.  I checked the keymap.xml file, and it says that it is Y, but I can't get it to work while I'm watching movies.  Any suggestions?

As I said, press the black button for the other, older OSD.  It's still there.  And the subtitle options are present.

You may need to calibrate the OSD position if you can;t see it - it can be done form the screen calibration in settings.  <
