I got a 111d...when i opened my case i noticed i had  a LiteOn SOHW-832S . Viewing the specs of it it DOES say dvd-r dl. does anyone have this drive and can confirm with me with it works?

my 812s flashed to 832s works like a charm using verbatim media. Only had problem with a couple of images but those were probably bad images...btw I am using the c5xxx firmware

The 111D as a whole is a more solid burner so I would stick with it, not to mention it autosets the booktype to DVD-ROM on your D/L DVD+R discs so it can save you some hassle in the long run.  That being said the Lite On still makes an excellent ripper/error rate scanner drive, so hold on to both of them.
