I used a NEC 4550A with Memorex (RITEK D01) media and it worked fine huh.gif
A friend of mine used a NEC 3540A with the same media and it worked as well...

I think that list should be updated, users might think their burners don't work when in fact they do dry.gif (depending on the media)

Does anyone know if the new LG GSA-H22L works? does it support bitsetting? looks like a good drive and heard some good things about it in forums, im considering it as a potential replacedment for my NEC.

I have the Liteon 1693S and the Sony Dru-810a. Ive used CDClone/IMGBurn/and DVD Decrypter and made nothing but coasters. All have the latest firmware. Can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong? I dont want to go buy ANOTHER DVD Burner because I already have 3 lol....

This list isn't completely accurate. :X

Hitachi-LG 47DJ w/ Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2
NEC-3520A w/ 3.07 FW
Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x

I've made maybe 15 backups now, all which are working perfectly. Never had one bad burn with good ol' Verbatim! smile.gif

yup the list is BS,

I have a BENQ 1640 and a LG GSA H42L burners, both make perfect backups and can be played on Hitachi drive without any problems.

QUOTE(Message from sosotiit @ Jan 22 2007)

Time to close this thread.

The original post dates back to August and cannot be maintained by the author (Ref his status = X-S Banned). At that time the Hitachi firmware was 2.1 and it did not include the mediapatch like 2.3 does.
So a lot has changed since then and a new list would be needed. It is not totally inaccurate as the burner reported working would still do, but many of the reported not working would probably now function just fine.

Any of the critical mind above welcome to compile and maintain one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif). I would be happy to recommend its inclusion in the pinned 360 Dvd Drive Backup Compatability Threads.

Rgds, soso
