Its the same drive exactly just no fancy box and usually no screws or Audio cable supplied. No installation poster etc.

Yup, OEM=bare drive itself.  Retail comes with accessories.  BTW where did you find the drive for $30?  Does that include shipping?

newegg had it for $32 with free shipping few days ago ,

thats where i picked up one for myself

i paid $37 shipped at newegg for mine. it is brand new though, some were refurbished.
