Noob Question About Dvd Burner

yea, you can use your nec dvd-burner dual layer to burn your game, samsung drive is not really picky on media and burner. Also I had use memorex media, it play fine with samsung drive but on some games I experience the loading time is slower then the original. Would recommend verbatim for media cuz so far every games I have work flawless.

That's because Memorex D/L=Ritek D01 (Gag) which is known for it's hit and miss compatibility regaurdless of application.  A Verbatim D/L DVD+R with the booktype set to DVD-ROM is ALWAYS your best bet for compatibility.  The NEC does support the booktype setting feature but you will probably need to update your firmware.  Check out http://www.rpc1.org. for more info.
