Xbox 360 Stealth Iso Backups File Size With Xtreme30?
« on: August 11, 2006, 08:40:00 AM »

I am backing up two games currently, Oblivion and NCAA 07 Football.  My question is, what should the file sizes be.  I find it kind of ironic that both games have the exact same game.iso file size as well as IMAGE.000 file size that is created by the build360.bat file that comes with the xtreme30 package.

I'm using DVDinfoPro to rip the SS, PFI, and DMI bins, and using ISObuster to rip the games using my Original Xbox 360 DVD-Rom Drive.

The file size for both games are as follows:

game.iso - 6.80GB (7,307,001,856 bytes)

IMAGE.000 - 7.05GB (7,572,881,408 bytes)

I just want to be sure I'm doing this right before I get several $2 coasters.  Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

I just wanted to followup my original post.  I have done some searching, and have found out that all GAME.ISO files will be the exact same size, since they are RAW dumps on the entire DVD.

Therefore, the Image file you are burning should ALWAYS be 7.05GB.

7,572,881,408 bytes to be exact.

On a side note, I just noticed the xtreme 3.0 video file decreased in size by 4096 bytes, which makes sense.

Ok, I've just burned my first backup, and it came out as a coaster.  I booted to my dashboard, and then inserted the backup disc.  I checked it was set to booktype DVD-Rom, and burned at 2.4x w/ CloneCD.  When I insert the Disc, it makes almost a scratching type noise, trying to read it, and after about 10 seconds of trying, it comes up with the "Unrecognized Disc" error.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

I followed the Tutorial.  Ripped the SS, PFI, and DMI binary files using DVDinfoPro.  I then used unlocked the drive and ripped the game using Isobuster.  I did not encounter any error, however, but it did get stuck at 96% for awhile.

Once it was done, I copied the following files into one folder:
build360.bat
DMI.bin
game.iso
IMAGE.dvd
PFI.bin
SS.bin
video360.iso

I then run the build360.bat file and it creates a file called "IMAGE.000".  After this, I burn "IMAGE.000" in CloneCD, and try booting it in my Xbox 360, and get the above error.  What am I doing wrong?  In the tutorial, it says to burn the "IMAGE.DVD" file, but I don't have that.

BTW, I burnt it with a Lite-On SOHW-1633S burner.  I also have a BenQ DW822A burner as well.

Please help.  Thank you.

See my thread "Isobuster Vs. Wxripper Images"  Perhaps you have the extra bytes at the end of the isobuster image like I did.

Nailed, thanks for your reply.

I fell asleep while ripping Oblivion last night.  I have gone ahead and burned that one, and that one boots up.  Loading is rather slow, so I will probably just end up playing the original.

I will take a look at your thread and see if I can't get NCAA Football 07 to back up correctly.
