I have spoken with the poster and The backup tried was round at his friends house and is a legal back up of his friends game. He tried it on his machine and it worked. No PMs regarding this as it is now cleared up and is not in any way related to piracy or downloading games..
Please try and help with the question

I have yet to burn a good backup using isobuster.
wxRipper has worked everytime, just need a drive to rip apart. (I tried @ 6 drives with the emergency eject and none worked)

Instructions are great, but many people are having a hard time with V2_1 and isobuster.

What has worked for me (of course use a Pioneer drive)

-Drive tools (for SS)
-wxRipper (for image)
-SS merger (for merging smile.gif
-clone CD for burning

Did you download and read through the latest guide Here
There is a section on backing up if you have V47

Can you try and compress the image from the isobuster method? If the compressed file is greater than 10MB then that only means that it copied more that just the video partition.

Still working on it... same problem as above still. My computer is seeing the game as a 6mb dvd movie. If anyone knows any otherways to do this that would be great.

I'm having the same problem as described. Windows sees my v47 drive and the flash appears to have went well. However, the drive description never changes when I put an xbox 360 game.

Instead the drive shows a 6.87 mb disc.  Isobuster shows the same thing.

I ended up typing in 3567872 and hitting start extraction. Then I hit cancel twice, and it continued with the extraction. I hit fill with zeroes and checked always use selection, then when it was done, it showed me there were errors, and i clicked the option that didnt delete it. Then I ran the 360 merger file. This is all using Garyopa v2.1. Im pretty sure all of this worked, because i came up with a 7.5 gig IMAGE.000 file. Now all i need is to get a pioneer 111d, and rename the .000 extention to .iso and burn with clonecd, and im good to go.

I believe thats all there is to it, just ignore the errors you get with the large number in the beginning, hit cancel twice.

I did the same exact thing you did, except I didn't rename the .000 to .iso. I use the .dvd file in Clonecd as the cue sheet and I had a 7.5GB file as well.

However the game won't boot. It says to put the disc inside a Xbox 360.

Quoting myself here, but I think that we only get 6mb of data from the disc and the rest of the 7GB is all 0's as data.

What did you use to read the file? I will check my read to see whether I have all 0's too.

Oh, and I actually didnt rename the .000. I got that confused with the process for dvddecryptor.

Has anyone figured out the problem here? How to fix it, or at least work around it? I am having the exact same issue when using Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v2.2 Stealth 8in1. I don't have any backups available to even see if my drive will boot a backup at all, but I am seeing all the same symptoms listed here on my system, and beating my head against the wall trying to get a working backup.

I guess I might have to resort to opening my PC DVD drive and using wxripper  sad.gif

I have a 47 and this is how I am doing it.

I use XBOX Backup Creator.

I open the options and choose SH-D162c as I have a Samsung SH-d162c that I read the originals with. I see that GDR 3120L is also a choice. So I think you could use that . (I have not tried). I also uncheck speed boost. Select my drive again at the top pull down menu. Then choos ASPI. (If you can not choose ASPI you need the dll file (can find it at the nero website) and put the dll in the Xbox backup creator folder. Then under the read tab click start. THATs IT. The image will be made for you. Then just burn it with the free program IMGBURN. Your done. ( i did not have to change any settings on the latest version of IMGBURN)

I am not sure yours will be done the same way as I am ripping with a Samsung 162c. but you may want to try the program. Its a simple way to make a backup.
