This program is excellent, i just used it to backup one of my games.

but for now, i have my firmware removed, because i dont wanna get banned..

Well, I have been doing my backups with the SS in both spots for the for the firmware and the nme chip. I have a chip here, just haven't installed it yet but I'm pretty sure I did them right. It would be nice if this app could give you the option to make one type or the other of backups or do both. So far, all mine work with the firmware flash, and I used the NME tool, so they should work with that as well.

Damn, very exciting program, but it fails at 3%, when trying to unlock my drive. I've been trying to unlock my drive for weeks with no success (although a suggestion to simply extract the SS and skip the unlock code does sort of work - ie I can at least get an image - but I have still yet to get a working backup on my samsung 360. "Unrecognized disk" and I am now positive it's this whole unlocking the drive issue. Has ANYONE who gets a "sense error" in DVDInfoPro when trying to unlock their drive gotten a backup working? HOW?

i got the sense error many times and never got a working backup. I decided to skip the unlock step (so just extracted SS) and it worked just fine. Try this out. FYI im using the VIA8237 chipset + sammy drive (ms25) on TDK dl DVD+R

i know this tool just mentions and emulates "toshiba/samsung drive" but does anyone know if it works with the Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L Drive aswell ?

update

well have sorted mypio had version 1.19 and after reading post
reflashed it with 1.23 and rewrote enable0800 and bang it now works
so can now do sata cable mod and no need to bother with duel firmware

I have the correct Samsung drive. I flashed the 0800xtrm.bin firmware onto my drive. Loaded into Windows and my xbox 360 drive shows up in My Computer. I put in the 360 game I wanted to back-up before I turned on my computer. I then run the extract program and it stops at 3% and gives me an I/O error. I am using the origninal 0800xtrm.bin firmware. I am using a SATA PCI card. I really want to use this Extractor any help would be great!
