Schtrom360Xtract v1.0 to Extract Xbox360 Images in One Step

Schtrom released an application (incl. sourcecode) that will allow you to easily dump gamedata, extract/patch the Security Sectors and fully prepare the image for burning. It requires the Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943A Xbox 360 drive connected to your PC and flashed with the Xtreme0800 or Xtreme v2.0 (set in 0800-mode) firmware to work:

Schtrom360Xtract is used to backup Xbox360 game discs in one step.

Features/Functions:
* enumerates XBox360 TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H943A drive letter
* creates the CloneCD image desciptor file IMAGE.dvd for the layer break
* creates blank360.iso
* extracts security sector (ss.bin)
* makes game data visible
* extracts dvd sectors (game.iso)
* merges blank360.iso, ss.bin and game.iso to the CloneCD image file IMAGE.000

Technical Details:
Make sure your drive is in xtreme0800 mode, otherwise there's no drive letter available and Windows XP can't see the drive. This program is written for Windows XP SP2 and I think it's the only platform it will run on at the moment, but with the source included you hopefully can port it easily.

Additional Steps:
To burn the image do the following:
* set the booktype of your burner from DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM
* start CloneCD
* insert DVD+R Double Layer disc
* choose image.dvd file
* burn at 2.4x speed

Seems like a real simple setup.... hopefully it can easily be edited to do the same from a SH-D162C, soon as Kreon finishes the firmware.

Hope that they will do the same for the pc drive Samsung SH-D162C when the firmware is ready. Then I don´t have to open my xbox360 to burn a game when it work

Soo much easier to back-up my games... Needs an option for XBOX-1 games

(Thanks for including src, this way I could always add it myself if you do not include in your next version)...

Nice tool umm i got that drive' and i flashed with Xtreme v2.0 just want to know do i have to flash it again to be in mode xtreme0800. copys' work fine with this so i hope i dont have to flash again. im on my second 360
as it is (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) any help would be great thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

just put the enable 0800 disc in power xbox up let it spin then power up pc

No, because, AFAIK the firmware does not extract the security sector, at least not correctly.

So, I've undestood well before: when SH-D162C firmware w/ SS extraction supported will be released, I can use Schtrom work with that PC drive. Confirm this?

in the version 2 package there is a rar which contains a iso file which you burn
this when put in the samsung drive enables the 0800 firmware which allows you to see the drive in windows then u can use the schtrom programme as for the other samsung drive when it can read the ss correctly i would exspect u can use it with that also but the firmware still is not correct yet, so its original 360 drive only at this point
