I downloaded the Sohw-1673s firmware from the page you provided,flashed and all but it still doesnt support bitsetting,could you specify wich one you downloaded please?

Lite-On drives which do support bitsetting still don't *support* it like other drives do. Rather, they do...but Lite-On does bitsetting/booktyping in a different way. To my knowledge the mode has to be set in the memory of the drive. Anyways, Lite-On drives need a specific app called the LiteOn Bitsetting Utility. That should fix your problem.
