Hi guys,

I bought a 10 pack of Intact DVD+R DL discs. It was $30 australian dollars for the pack. I have burnt 6 xbox 360 games using my Pioneer 111D and this media. All work perfectly, just like originals. That oughta save people a couple of dollars. Verbatim costs $5 australian dollars for 1 disc over here!

What kind of Drive is in your 360? Hitachi or Samsung?

I bought a 10 pack of Memorex DL DVD+Rs today for $18.  They worked fine in my Samsung.  I'm going to see if they work in someone else's Hitachi later.  I'm glab they at least worked for me, because those Verbatims are expensive.

Sure, but as long as you take proper care of your back ups by the time something like that might happen DL discs will be cheaper and you can then backup your backups.

no two drives read disks the exact same.
i wouldnt skimp out on a couple bucks when it comes to media.. verbs are currently your best bet... use something else, and dont come back complaining in a month saying "how come i get DDE's, it worked last week!"

look:

Verbatims use quality dye. Riteck does not. If your Ridata Dl work now, good, but dont cry back here when they fail after a while.

you get what you pay for.

umm, you guys need to get laid. We're just trying to let other members know of alternative media thats cheaper and works besides Verbatim. Jeez.

yeh... but the problem is, having nothing to do with getting laid (isnt this xbox scene?) the fact is that cheap media is cheap for a reason.

a month from now, you will be back saying "how come my backups stopped working" and we then deal with that thread.

double fun.

Anyone try PlayO disc yet?  There online for 49.99 for a 50pk.  Trying to find that damn link now.

Will post once I find it.

Tried some of PlayO discs. They work but are definitely not as reliable as the Verbatims. Half the discs ended up being coasters. Not sure if I received a bad batch, can someone else confirm this?
